New Swing!

William is sitting up all by himself!! He can make it about 3 seconds before he topples over.

Ryan spent the better part of Sunday hanging a new swing for William in the front yard. We have had such beautiful weather the past couple of days and have really enjoyed spending time outside. William seems to enjoy the swing- although today was the first day he cracked a smile while he was swinging and I'm pretty sure it was because of the ridiculous faces and noises I was making at him for the sake of a picture-but he doesn't cry and seems pretty relaxed while he is swinging. (If you click on the picture below it will open up to a larger size so that you can see the individual pictures)

10 Year Reunion

What a great weekend...

Almost five months...

I frequently hear moms talk about how sad they are that their baby is growing so quickly. While I don't feel like the past 5 months have gone by slowly, I do feel that I have been truly blessed to be able to enjoy each and every moment with my sweet little boy and do not feel as if they have gone by too fast at all. I have loved everything about being a mommy and enjoy the memories that we have made and I look forward to each new day with William.
We have enjoyed the cool weather this weekend and I was excited that William would get to finally wear one of the outfits that his Oma knitted for him when he was born.
Cereal- Take 2 (This is obviously before I fed him-he is still clean) Our second round was not quite as successful as the first but we will try again.

Playing in the exesaucer
I thought it was funny that he could hold his own bottle since he almost never even takes a bottle.

Cereal!!

I just couldn't take it anymore...those big beautiful eyes watching each bite of food as it made it's way into my mouth. So, this afternoon I whipped up a batch of some delicious rice cereal mixed with "mama's milk." We won't make it an everyday occurrence just yet but we'll have some fun getting used to eating off of a spoon.
First we explored the highchair a bit...
He probably had more on his chin and bib than in his mouth...but that was to be expected.
I let him play with the spoon when we finished.

And then we enjoyed the highchair for a bit.
He didn't smile much while eating but was all smiles when it was over.

4 Months!

William is 4 months old! He took his first walk in the big boy stroller today. He was very quiet...I think he was taking it all in. After 4 months of laying on his back in the pram there were lots of new things to see.

Tuesday William had his four month immunizations (These led to a fever and THREE sleepless nights). He weighed 13 lbs. 11 oz and is 24 1/2 inches tall.
