Happy Birthday Daniel

These are a few of our favorite things....

William LOVES his thumb. He has officially dropped the pacifier and is an official thumb-sucker.

William loves bath time-especially when daddy is giving the bath (he is a little more fun with the bath ritual than mommy) This is his new big boy bath seat-

William loves his swing-especially now since the weather is cooler.

This is the Fisher Price Soundstage and William loves it. I think the piano is his favorite. I'm hoping that this is a sign of good things to come. Between this toy, our Kindermusik class, and all the singing and dancing we do at home, I think William has a pretty good chance of playing at least one instrument.

This is "Sophie la Girafe." I have heard wonderful things about this teether so I splurged and bought her for William (she cost around $24). I'm sure she is as wonderful as everyone says she is but William has no interest in her. I keep giving it to him hoping that maybe she will grow on him-I'll keep you posted.

Did I mention how much William LOVES his thumb?

We bought a set of textured balls at Costco and William has had tons of fun playing with them. There are two large balls and 4 small ones-all different colors.

Hanging out with the Battles

We were so excited to finally get to meet Sage!! We had a great time visiting with Amber and Jason and can't wait until they make the big move back to the south...whenever that may be.

William had no problem sharing his toys with Sage and hopes that they move back soon so that he can play with Sage more often :)

No more pacifiers for William. He has found his thumb and LOVES it.

I decided that William was big enough for the big boy bathseat. He loves being able to play with his toys in the water.

With Fall right around the corner Oma has been busy knitting our winter jackets and hats.

Visiting with Great Papa

Last weekend I took Matthew, Megan, and William to eat lunch with my grandfather. Great Papa and William enjoyed watching football while Matthew and Megan played with Papa's electric chair.

Sweet Potatoes

From the look on William's face as he watches me eat I think he would just assume skip baby food and get to the good stuff. Since we can't do that I thought I would add some sweet potatoes to the rice cereal. He seemed to appreciate the added flavor. For the time being I am feeding William solids just once a day and I don't push it if he is not interested. I am very excited about making my own baby food and I can't wait to try more things.
