One of my favorite things to do is watch the elephants (and horses) parade through downtown. William had no memory of seeing them before so this year was very exciting for him. We had to wait a while for the train to arrive and it was a very cold morning but it was well worth the wait. William was a little bit nervous but once he caught site of them he couldn’t get enough of them. After they passed us we loaded back up in the car and raced downtown so we could see them arrive at the Civic Center.

All Aboard the McClendon Express
My grandfather gave this awesome cardboard train playhouse to William for Christmas. A couple of weeks ago we had two solid weeks of rain and about midway through the first week I pulled it out and put it together. The kids had a blast with it. They got most of it colored but I didn’t get a picture before we took it apart. It took up most of our den so after about a week and a half it was time to take it down and move it to the screen porch.
