Photos

I took some pictures of the kids a few weeks ago. The lighting was good and we were having a fun time playing in the yard. Plus if I start now maybe I will get a good picture for the Christmas card. I was unsuccessful at getting one of the two of them together but pretty happy with the individual shots I got.

We have loved the beautiful weather we have been having this fall. We don’t pull out the jump house much because Virginia isn’t a fan of the loud noise but she finally warmed up to it and wanted to play with William.

Happy Fall Ya’ll!

Last weekend our buddies, Collier and Clayton, celebrated their birthday at their grandparents’ farm. They had a hayride, horseback riding, and a pumpkin patch! It was so much fun and both kiddos really enjoyed it. They didn’t ride the horses but enjoyed seeing them. The highlight for William was definitely riding on the hayride behind the big tractor.

The Gingerbread Boy

A few weeks ago I picked William up early from school and took him to see the play The Gingerbread Boy. A few of his friends from his class joined us. He was a little scared for most of the play and wanted to go home. He knew that at the end of the story there would be a wolf and we were VERY close to the characters. We stuck it out and I’m glad we did because after his nap that afternoon he couldn’t stop talking about how much fun it was.

As we were leaving the theater we saw a few fire trucks coming down the street. Once we got closer to the street we noticed more fire trucks. Before we knew it the whole street was lined. Apparently it was a fire safety parade.

Yum Yum

Tante Marijke brought us some Hagel Slag (chocolate sprinkles from Holland). They are really yummy on toast. This was Virginia’s first time to eat it. I think she liked it!

Trike-a-Thon

William’s school had a trike-a-thon on Friday. They all brought their bicycles and tricycles to school. Plus in the parking lot they had a fire truck, tow truck, police car, R.V, bus, race car, and monster truck. The money that they raised went to St. Jude’s Children's Hospital.

Daniel celebrated his 6th birthday with a fishing party!

It was a beautiful day and we had a great time celebrating with the family and Daniel’s friends.
