Thanksgiving Feasts at School

The week before Thanksgiving Virginia’s class had a Thanksgiving “snack.”

Virginia’s first look at all the parents who had come for snack.

She was not happy when I walked around the table to try and get a picture of her.

This is a horrible picture BUT evidence that I DO in fact exist Smile

I wish that I had gotten a better picture of her precious shirt that they made. It’s her handprint made to look like a turkey.

William’s class/school has a huge feast. Every family brings a dish and we all sit together in the dining room of the church. It was delicious and so fun to sit with all of his friends and their families. I wish I had snapped a picture of the room and the food. It was amazing!

William was excited to have his family at school with him.

Dressing up…

Virginia LOVES to dress up in her brother’s clothes and shoes..and sometimes her own clothes. I still can’t get her interested in any princess dresses though.

Fall Weekend at the Lake

After our choo choo adventures last weekend we headed down to the lake for a long weekend. We could not have asked for more beautiful weather. Saturday Ryan went on to the Auburn game while we stayed and hung out at the lake. Sunday we enjoyed chocolate sprinkle donuts, played outside, had lunch at Catherine’s, visited the stables, and napped. Monday was a rainy day so we spent the morning cleaning up and then headed back home. I tried a couple of times to get a picture for our Christmas card. I don’t think I got the winning shot but I got some pretty cute ones and I will share a few.

Dress Up

Virginia LOVES to play dress up, only she doesn’t love to dress up in pretty princess or ballerina clothes. She prefers William’s clothes, her own clothes, or mommy and daddy’s shoes. Last weekend at the lake I had all the bags packed and ready to go into the car. We were waiting on some laundry and I thought that she and William were quietly playing with toys in our room. I went in to check on them and she had unpacked all the bags and was sitting in the middle of it happily trying on all the clothes.

All Aboard!!!

We surprised William this morning with a train ride at the Heart of Dixie Railroad Museum. He has been asking for over a month now to go eat on a train. All week I made sure to ask him many questions about what you eat on a train and what he thought it would be like. I wasn’t sure where he got the idea about eating on a train so I wanted to make sure it was close to what he had in mind. I should have known my easy going child could have cared less about eating and was really just so excited that we were taking him to ride a train. He told me this morning that you eat muffins and happy meals on the train so our plan was to stop and get muffins and happy meals. I forgot the muffins so we settled for some gas station blueberry muffins and McDonalds wasn’t serving lunch yet. When I pulled out the muffins William said he wasn’t hungry and wanted to eat when we got back. HA! He did end up eating a little but he was really just excited to be on the train.

Virginia is quickly developing her brother’s love for trains and was just as excited to be on the choo choo!

As much as he loves trains he does not like the train whistle.

We all enjoyed it and can’t wait to go back in a few weeks to ride with Santa!

Happy Birthday Papa

My papa turned 94 yesterday. We celebrated today with some “brown cake” that William requested. It was delicious and so good to see Papa outside and smiling!
