Bringing Baby Girl Home

I could not wait to get home with my baby girl and spend some time with William.

This is what Virginia did most of the day while I spent some time playing with my little buddy. We also had Virginia’s newborn pictures done with Grethel so check back soon to see if I have posted the link with the pictures. I had planned on doing William’s 2 year pictures but he was little overwhelmed with  “new baby sister” coming home so we decided to put that off a bit.

 

Virginia slept really well last night which was a good thing because I was worn out from the two nights in the hospital that she did not sleep and the two nights before that that I was up with contractions. She is doing great with nursing and we are slowly working on getting on a 3 hour schedule. Hopefully my milk will come in today and that will help.

William is SLOWLY coming around. Most of the time he wants nothing to do with her. He is however LOVING all of the visitors and attention that he is getting.

LOVE LOVE LOVE

I am in LOVE with this baby girl but I cannot wait to get home to my little buddy. We are waiting on the pediatrician to give us the go ahead to go home. Our bags are packed and I am ready to hang out with my family of 4!

Welcome to the world baby girl!

We are all finding it so hard to believe that we have a baby girl! Virginia is truly an angel.

Big Brother William arrived this morning bright and early to meet his baby sister. He was very confused to walk in and see me. I made sure I was up and out of bed when he got here. He didn’t want much to do with Virginia.

I had a few surprises for him to open.

After he opened his new “choo choo’s” he felt right at home and started to play, still wanting nothing to do with his new baby sister. We managed to get a few pictures. Don’t let these fool you. In the entire hour and a half that William was here this was the closest he got to her and the only time he really even looked in her direction.

GIRL!!! Virginia Kimble

She is absolutely beautiful! We are doing great. I labored all night but went ahead and came in for my scheduled c-section this morning because my contractions had stopped. I had an amazing nurse who wanted me to try and go ahead with the VBAC so she called my even more amazing doctor who was so excited for me to try it. She broke my water and I had a very easy delivery. Virginia was born at 5:15. She is eating very well. I can’t wait for William to meet his little sister in the morning! I will post more pictures tomorrow!

Beautiful!

We have had such beautiful weather and everything is starting to bloom so I couldn’t resist taking some pictures after Church today. We had a wonderful weekend, only coming inside to nap.

We stayed close to home enjoying the park, playing with good friends, a few walks, a visit with Papa, and dinner outside. No baby yet but he/she will be here soon and we are excited to meet our new addition!

Short and Sweet

We had a VERY short visit with Betty and Cecile  this week. Betty is my mom’s “American sister.” I haven’t seen her since my wedding and it was great to catch up and introduce her to William! They are visiting from San Diego and were only here for the night but will be back through next week. Maybe we will be able to introduce her to our new addition before they head back west!
