William is really into bubbles these days and Ryan wanted to make some GIANT bubbles so off to the store he went. He had “googled” a recipe for homemade bubbles (water, dawn dish detergent, glycerin, and a little bit of sugar). I sent him to Dollar General for a small pool and a hula hoop.
This was his first attempt just a few minutes after mixing up the solution. It did say that the longer you let it sit the better the bubbles will be and it was right. This was as far as the bubble would go and then it would pop. He gave up after a while and we let it sit out overnight.
Here is what we got the next afternoon. The hula hoop didn’t work but his homemade bubble wand worked pretty well (even after the sprinklers had watered down his bubble solution). He tied two pieces of string to two straws.
Are you wondering where William is? The truth is Ryan had way more fun with the bubbles than William did.
William did eventually enjoy popping the big bubbles.
