1 Month: Slow Down Sister!!!

Seriously-slow down! Virginia weighed in at a healthy 9 lbs 9 oz today at her one month check-up. She is 22 inches long. Her cheeks are really starting to fill out.

Everyone’s number one question is “how is she sleeping?” I’m happy to report that the last 3 nights she has gone to bed around 9 and made it about 5 1/2 hours before her first night feeding!

Virginia definitely has a “witching hour.” I remember William being fussy in the evening but it’s all kind of blur. At about 7:00 each evening the screaming begins and Ryan and I take turns holding her for the rest of the evening. The first hour is the worst and we have had to sit in the back of the house with her so she doesn’t wake William up. She usually settles down by 8 but still wants to be held. Hopefully this will pass quickly Smile

William loves to give Virginia kisses and every now and then wants to hold her. He loves to get her toys out and shake them in her face.

My little angel was not a happy camper yesterday after her shot. She had a very fussy day. This used to upset William but now he just says “uh oh” and ignores her or leaves the room. However, when he hears her crying on the monitor he goes in search of her usually using the picture on our video monitor as his guide Smile

William bought his first ice cream from the ice cream lady yesterday. He was so excited when he heard the truck and couldn’t wait to get out to see it. I don’t think he had a clue what it was but daddy bought him a popsicle anyway. Of course William had no interest in eating it or even holding it but I sure did enjoy that bomb pop!

…and our sweet friends enjoyed theirs as well! The warm weather has definitely arrived and every day there are new things blooming in the yard!
